I think I've asked this before, though I can't remember for sure. Are the tints you receive on an Infiniti vehicle from the factory tinted glass, or is it a tint film?

Another question is are there viable alternatives to the film tint?

Anything from the factory will be in the glass.

Only option from film would be custom made glass, which would be insane $. Or they have spray tint, but it sucks.

not sure if this answers your question, but our G's both had slightly tinted windows from the factory.I had tint film added to my coupe.

Our local Infiniti and Nissan dealers use Sunstoppers since they are close by. Most all of the new G's on our local Infiniti lot have had tint film added.I don't believe there is an option for more factory tint.

High quality tint around here is usually warrantied by the installers for 5 to 10 years. A few guys have the confidence to attach lifetime warranties. I do my own tint. On my past cars its lasted years with just accidental damage.

I got tints installed just a couple months ago. Are tiny bubbles expecting to be normal? Tiny like a few little specks in random areas. Might have been dust trapped under the film? Not visible from over 5 ft distance.

Its very very difficult to get 0 bubbles. I remove the glass from the door, wash it, scrape it with a razor, wash it again, and use filtered water and solution and lay the tint on. I STILL get like 9 tiny specs of dust between the film and glass.

the tint place i went to in ATL did mostly high end cars and i got a bubble free job on all four the door windows... but my rear window had a couple of bubbles... but i was promised they would go away.. and they did... well about 95%... you would have to be all the way up on the window to see the bubbles... i didnt think that was worth going back and complaining about.. plus they gave a lifetime warranty cost me a little over $200. i got 35% tint to stay legal in GA.
