First off, i dont even know if this is after-market tint.

but, i took it to get inspected today, and my windows passed, but the guy said my back window was 19%. it's the same amount as the sides, at least it looks it. you can definitely see in the car through it. Anyway, i dont pass inspections now, and the limit here is 35%. My windows are 32%.

Does anyone know why it would read like that, or what i could do other than get it removed?

This Sucks.

go someplace else to have it inspected...someplace rural. you live in NC, go out in the sticks someplace, out of the city, any small town and do it there. where i get mine inspected to test the exhast they put a metal plate over the end, if the engine slows down or dies from high back pressure, it passes. same with the brakes, if it stops when you pull in the garage, it passes. course i live in a town of 500 in missouri, so i don't even have to worry about emissions....

I can't wait until inspection rolls around here in AZ, because I bought my car with 5% limo on it...but im pretty sure the guy had it on prescription because his eyes were hypersensitive to light.

If they tell you it's too dark, go someplace ghetto that doesnt have a Visible Light Reader.

i don't even know what the legal limit is here...i think it's 25 on back and quarter, and 35 on up to 6inchs of windsheidl and all of the driver/passenger sides...

/edit..... i've got it lucky, not a part of inspection and anything goes on rear 3 and up to 35% up front, +- 3%
