Welcome to NICO!

Some things to be aware of:

1. In many states, the tinting laws will regulate exactly what you can and cannot do - particularly on the front side windows. For example, in California, the rear windows can be up to 95% dark (the so-called limo tint), but the side windows in the front can only be up to 30% dark (including manufacturers built-in "darkening" of the windows). So check your state regulations carefully!

2. My personal experience with doing the rear glass (not the side windows, I mean the rear "windshield") at 95% was bad in the sense that it got a bit dangerous to drive at night. I could not really see too well out the rear. So, on my wife's car, I did 50% on that and it is much better!

3. Is your goal to do dark tint for preventing people to look into the car or for heat/damage protection? If the latter, then the best product is the HuperOptik stuff - bar none! See http://www.huperoptik.com for more information. If the objective is just darkening, then any decent place ought to be able to put on a good dark tint.

4. If you use a high metallic content tint, then radar detectors get affected. Be careful of that. On the other hand, the polymer ones tend to change color (to purple! ) if they get exposed to sun for a long time.

5. If you do the rear glass, then the heating elements will work fine generally, but if you ever need to remove the tint, then you have to be very careful not to damage the heating wires! Good places will be careful ...
