Window sticker question: Final Assembly Point...

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Everyone,

I came across something that is very strange. My window sticker states final assembly point was JACKSONVILLE. Even though the car is a "J" car, Japan. Why does this state Jacksonville on the right hand side of the window sticker, under Delivery. Does anyone know?

Please help.

Thanks.

Depending on what exact item you are reffering to that means that either your car was brought into this country. There will be a port listed, and possibly the intended dealer (that will have the address as well). Before a car is sold it may travel to many places as part of a Dealer Exchange program where models are traded to other dealers. Your car may have an interesting back story. Luckily you have documentation if something is amiss.

in my knowledge, i know its not by the finanal assy point, its the majority of the parts were came from Japan, and the Final Assembly point could mean "Simple Emission part assembly" Some Europian/Luxury Japanese and most Korean vehicles get shipped to US in almost one piece with few emission parts missing and they get installed once they arrive the final assembly point.

Very well. I am now in contact with the sales manager to see what is really the story here. I know that I was mislead and will have to take this to a higher level. Lesson learn. NEVER, I MEAN NEVER buy a car from a paper and not by seeing it.

I can understand your point. I wonder why they dont say this. Like 90% Japan, 10% USA, or whatever. Not just point final assembly and list a city. Since USA emission are different, I can understand adding the emission items here in the USA, but then why don't they state that.

BTW: My car, has a winding pump noise, and the NAV software is old. I am fighting now with the dealer to make this right, since they lied to me about the production month of the vehicle. Plus the battery is low. Yeah, it has been sitting on a lot for 15 months.
