window scrapping 03 M45

recently i tint on my 2 front windows on my 03 M45 and i started noticing that my tint was being damaged by a padding now the passenger window is starting to scrape it what should i do?

You should update your profile and/or this post to tell which model year M45 you are referring to in hopes that someone with similar experience can chime in. I can't, but I can tell you that I recently had a mechanic tell me to pick up some silicone spray at Wal-Mart to soften the "padding" if it has hardened and lubricate the internal workings at the same time without taking the door apart. Maybe that would work for your "padding," or maybe it would make it nasty, I have no idea. My only other thoughts are maybe the tint job wasn't very good, or maybe the tint was defective, but I have no way to form a fair opinion on either of those points.

i was thinking of replacing the pad and talk to the mechanics about maintaining it
