I stumbled upon the articles about restoring the '68 sedan and was especially interested in the parts about replacing the weatherstripping. Greg talked about a nice solution for replacing the external window squeegies, but I can't see any reference to where that rubber came from.

Does anybody know where they got the proper l-shaped rubber?

I tried to find contact for Greg, but it just sends me to his other articles.

Thanks, in advance.

If I'm not mistaken, that would be our fearless leader AZhitman. I'll rattle his cage and see if he'll pop in here with a reply.

Thanks, Rogue.

Is there no way to send a message to 'Greg"?

Hey BS! :)

IIRC, I ordered it through Steele Rubber. http://www.steelerubber.com/peel-n-stic ... upward-lip

Hitman, Thank you!

I was looking at mine today and even think I can cut off the OE staples and use the existing holes, even if I have to make my own staples. Not sure if the rubber has the right dims for that, but I'll check.

All my Datsuns thank you.

You bet. I think I documented the process pretty well, but if not, we can discuss. Half the fun of restoration is figuring out a different way to do things. :)

Check Steel Rubber site for just released newly made windscreen and rear window rubber with/without chrome insert capability. Steel made them from factory dimensions so should fit well.
