window rolls up, then halfway back down. whats wrong?

if i roll my window up in automatic mode, it goes all the way up, then halfway back down. if i hold it up, for about 5 seconds, i hear a click and it stays up, but it doesnt auto adjust when i open and close the door. also, if i roll it up, without using the auto feature, it stays up. whats wrong? is this an easy fix? expensive? common? help!!!

also, i just bought this car, i dont have alot of experience with G35's

mine did that too! But i took it to the dealer and they fixed it under warranty. However, it started up again

so what was the actual problem....i just bought another 2000 max and the drivers front window does the same thing. the guy said he replaced the motor and it started acting up.....

Its the anti pinch kicking on and basically you just need to reset the window motor.
