Hi all,

We recently bought a '95 Q45t. It has had quite a few issues to be resolved. Now we found 1 - actually 3 - more.

The right front window makes an irregular clicking noise as it goes up. My guess is regulator.

The right rear motor just seems slow to go up and the motor seems to almost not have enough power to close the last 3-4 inches. There's no noise, so I'd guess motor.

The left rear window makes the intermittent clicking noises, is slow to close and refuses to close the last 6 inches without GENEROUS assistance from a hand. So, I guess here we have a regulator AND a motor buggered.

What do you guys think?

Now for the BIG question. I bought some stuff from xr4racer 10,000 mile parts car. Will regulators and motors from a '90-'93 fit a '94-'96?

Thanks guys,Glenn

All regulators and window motors are interchangeable for all 90-96 Q's. The regulator is different in each door but both motors on the PS (front and rear) are the same and ditto for both motors on the DS.

Chances are pretty good it's just the regulators that are broken since the motors are pretty stout. I've removed 12 assemblies, a few with broken regulators, and every motor worked fine. Pull the regulator from each door and what you'll probably find is the plastic piece that attaches the cable assembly to the sliding mechanism is cracked or broken off, or, the cable has frayed and is not wrapping on the drum properly.

Yeah, probably not the motors. This type of thing is Extremely common with Nissan/Infiniti's G/L
