The front passenger window in my 1994 Q45a won't roll up. I have a spare regular/motor assembly, but before I take the door apart, I thought I'd ask this question.

When pressing the console window switch you can hear the motor move the regulator up and down in a small range (glass barely emerges). But when you press the switch on the door handle, there is no response.

Could a bad door handle switch cause this symptom? Or is it time for another routine regular swap?

Other ideas?

Thanks,Jim in the western NC mountains

Regulator failure is more common than switch failure but we usually try switches during diagnostic proceedure. Sometimes it is a combination issue.

Make sure your cancel switch isn't turned on...

Try changing the LCU module first. That was my issue but controls only worked from that door.
