window problems

the windows on my s13 coupe dont seal all the way on the b-pillar side there is a very thin crack that wistles at high speeds and lets water in when washing it. the top of my drivers side window also dosent seal all the way, for some reason, it gets stuck on that little lip of the black window trim piece that goes over the top of the window, and i have to kind of pop it in when the door is shut or push it back as im closing the door to get it to seal up at the top. i saw in 240sx.org faq that there were bolts that needed to be adjusted inside the door, but before i started pulling stuff apart i wanted to see if anyone else had any input on this.thanks

yeah i have the same problem in my '92 s13 coupe. a friend told me it might be due to a dent on the driver side door, but yea it sucks when it rains and i forget to push the window in with my hand. do u have p/w too?

i have p/w, and my car does the same dayam thing! makes me soo mad and I don't feel like picking up girls no more cause of that whistling sound. it sucks having to talk over that loud sound.

try replacing weather stripping.

I had this problem when my power window cable broke on my drivers side. After replacing it, and made sure the cable was tight, it now is good.

Take your door apart and make sure the cable is tight, if there is any slack in the cable then this could be the problem.

Pull door panel...the two bolts that hold the glass to the metal mechanism is slightly adjustable.

i have the same problem... the whistling and the water coming in when i wash it.....

I was considering replacing the stripping... does anyone have a guess on how much that costs? and is it fairly easy to do?:pface
