I finally got some free time to work on my car, and decided to fix my driver side power window. I pulled the door panel off and seen that the plastic clips that hold the window to the regulator were broken. A previous owner had zip-tied the window to the stops on the door, rolled the regulator all the way down, and unplugged the motor. Then he called it a day

I put the window from my parts car in the door, as it had the bottom 2 rollers and the plastic clips. I installed a brand new top roller while I was at it. The window rolls up and down fine. My problem is, when the window is rolled all the way up, the front is at the top of the seal like it should be, but the back is about an inch or so above where it should be. I'm thinking it's something with the regulator, but i was gonna see if any of y'all had some ideas. Thanks

Sounds like the rear stop is missing.
IIRC Isn't there a bolt-on one back there?

Yes there's a front and back stop, that's what i was thinking too.

I found the problem. I don't know why, but my parts car had a 4 seater window in it. That was why it wouldn't roll up right. Either way, I've got everything back together and now it's time to replace the top roller on the passenger side. Hopefully it won't be a train wreck like the driver's side was :bigthumb:
