Window problem!

I have a 1996 Nissan 240sx base model. My power window on the driver side has stopped working. I have troubleshooted it enough to know the switch is fine and its the motor that is shot. However my window is stuck in the open position. So i have 2 questions.1- Is there a way i can get my window closed for the time being till i can get a replacement motor.2- Is there a way i can get the motor out of the door while the window is still in the open position.Thanks in advance

Ok so i got the motor off of the assembly, now i just need to know if there is a way i can get the window to stay in the closed position. Is the gear on the motor what keeps the window from rolling down?
