window off track

well im new so i warn you all il have a lot of probably dumb questions hahah first thing i wanna fix on my z is the drivers side window, it wont go down but when you hit the button you can hear the motor working but nothing happens so my guess is its just off the track. what should i do about this?

You need to pull off the door panel and look. It will be a pain to get the door panel off since the window won't go down, but it will come off. Here's a link to what the regulator/motor looks like:

Actually, if the window won't go down and the door panel has never been off there may be a problem removing the inner door pillar cover under the seatbelt post, as you have to access a back side screw holding the piece on the door through the black plastic cover on the outside, and under the door glass unfortunately.
It's such a PITA to remember to have the window down a bit as you replace the door panel, and the screw is inset and you're unable to hold it in place so it falls into the door unless you tape the screw to a screwdriver...so I usually just leave it out as the seatbelt post holds the top tight without the screw in place.
