Ok for about 2 weeks my driver side window was going up a little slower than the passenger side. Every now and they it would seize to roll down or roll up once it was rolled down. It was very intermittant.

Upon pushing or pulling the switch all that was heard was a little "click". The motor did not even attempt to move up/down...just a click. THe "click" became more and more frequent until now. I cannot even roll my window down (thank god its up :p) ever. The passenger side worls flawlessly yet the drivers side just give the little "click" sound. I pulled the panel apart and ALL the wiring is exactly as it should be. I am not positive but I think the wiring from the switch board (locks and windows) goes directly to the window motor.... I did not follow them that far.

my questions: Is it possible that it is the motor? Since the switch board is all one peice and I cleaned it out AND the passenger side and door locks are working fine. Or is there some kind of switch in between the one you push and the window motor? If so; could it be the switch that is faulty of some sort since its making a "click"?

I do not have a voltmeter incase anyone suggests it :D Thanks for any help/input anyone has :ylsuper

i have the same problem you have right now, except my window could stil go down but wont come back up. i have to pull the window up and have to be pushing the button in order for it to go up.I have changed the motor several times nothing changed. So i took it to some shop i go to and they said its my window regulator. I havent fixed it yet because i need to find a used one, because the shop that i go too, only oreders parts from dealers and they said the dealership wants about $200.so iam saying its your window regulator that needs to be fixed. But if you can find a cheap used window regulator thats good and there is any extra ones let me know because i havent had the time too look./ i would apprecitae it. Good luck.Richard

Well i should probably not be so lazy and go look. I have had strep/tonsilitus for 2 weeks now so i have been tired and not wanting to go outside to look.

My s13 had the same problem yours does. I found a reg at a junkyard anf fixed the problem. However I see --in plain site, so thats why i asked-- nothing past the switch. I dont know if theres a regulator or if its really close to the motor or like built in the swtich board.

Thanks for the input though Twinchy

mine did that and it was the rubber connector that holds the large gear to the slider. it might not be what yours is but check that out. it would be best to get a different one. even though they are hard to come by

well mine has the same problem and finally today i solve it, maybe this helps,,

first sorry for the grammar,,

well i taught that the amp for the automatic down was damaged,, the window regulator or whatever ( a little box near the switches attached with two screws and have a little paper,, that says somthin like amp power window etc etc),,

i went to a junk yard and install the new one and the same,, first i taught that maybe the regulator was wrong too, but i decide to check the motor,

just pull out the little switch that goes to the motor, it have 2 wires, green and blue i think so (the one that goes to the switch no the other one cause that goes to the motor,) , and then check with a voltimeter if you have 6.5 volts aprox ,that mean that the amp and the switches are ok, but your motor is burned maybe,, in my case the motor wasn´t burned but the little gear betwen the motor and the window was damaged and the motor was forced and then the motor just stop to work maybe for protection, but however i don´t think that some one sell´s you only the gears cause is the half of the motor,, hehe if you don´t have electricity to that switch by the way,, located near the speaker,, well little up there,,, then could be a problem with the regulator or maybe switch but first check the motor putting some electricity on the other side of the switch (the one that goes direct to the motor) of course 12 volts, i´m not shure if that works but i´m shure that it shouldn´t damaged it.

well hope this helps,, i need to go,, let me know if i can help,,

I had this problem same problem when I got my S14. It was the regulator. The shop the lady I was buying the car from first thought it was the switch, but that turned out to be wrong. After they changed out the regulator, it worked, but a little too well. Apparently the switch had been fried somehow and got stuck in the "down" position. To make a long story short, the window motor started smoking because it kept trying to go down. Luckily it didn't break it, and the new switch the shop ordered was needed after all (since they wouldn't take it back anyway).Regulator is my suggestion on what to check first.

for me it was the window amp first... then 5 months later it was the cable which is categorized under the regulator. $300 later for parts and labor, i got a working power window :(
