window molding discoloration

Well as you all know i bought my rogue used and have spent money making it new again.

I noticed that the black molding in the windows is fading
so i tried to get them changed and nissan refused as this only has a 12,000 or 1 year warrenty. Pretty crappy if you ask me.

Well, today I called the dealer and the parts guy told me they where 76 dollars per window
so multipolied by 4 means a lot of money for 4 pieces of plastic.

anyone know of a cheap place to buy oem parts ?

or better yet a way to repair the fading and discoloration on the trim. Damn lady who owned it never took care of it.

No need to replace get any restorer out there.

These are temporary fixes since it will fade again. Your best bet is to replace them or put the chrome trim on.

Did anyone replace it yet? Mine is not faded, but Chrome sounds Yummy....

If the original pieces faded already, then I would guess the replacements will fade again in 2+ years and you'll be right back where you started. I'd say you have nothing to lose trying the restoration products. If they work and you re-apply a couple times per year then you've got your solution.....

Thanda, several Rogue owners have installed these chrome pieces and I believe most found there's on ebay.....search "Nissan Rogue" and you'll see these and many other accessories.

Since my rogue was used i got a feeling the dumb lady who had it dident take care of it

it had 3 dents which i already fixed

now trying to fix a few scratches

i have no idea where she lived but never took it to a car wash

now a month down the line the Rogue is looking like a different cuv
