Hello every one,

Merry X-mas and happy holiday fellow members, I wanted to ask people here if they know what's going on with the M35 when you put on the lock button for the windows, I can't roll up or down the windows from the driver windows panel, as far as I know all my previous cars, Japanese or European I would still be able to control the windows as a driver but not from the individual buttons as far as passengers in the front or the back so does the M designed not to be able to control that even as a driver. My other question is I wanted to upgrade my suspension as much as I love my car, I still miss that solid rock feeling of a BMW. Does any one have any suspensions series that will make my car as solid as a BMW handles or makes it feel a little stiffer than it is now, please shed some lights on my questions and I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

it might be a fuse or loose wire or something, you might want to do a search on lowering your ride, there are many ways you can do this, lower springs or coil overs, some cheap, some not so cheap just depends on how much you wanna spend man. Hope this helps, some of the other bruh's will chime in

So with what you said, the M35 allows you to control all 3 windows with window lock engaged and you controlling using the driver windows panel?

The behavior you describe is normal for an 06 M. What Japanese cars have you owned? I think Toyota/Lexus are a lot more "normal" than Honda/Acura and Nissan/Infiniti. This and other quirks that started irritating me as soon as I got my 06 M45 (in 09) have me planning on a German or American for my next vehicle.

First of all what class of BMW are you comparing the M35 to? Secondly the M35 is designed to be a bit more comfortable than stiff. There are a number of things that you need to consider if you want a stiffer ride. All of the suspension link bushings should be replaced for urethane type (Including any cross-members). You may want to consider better (Larger/stiffer) roll bars front and rear with urethane end links. The struts should be replaced with high quality Japanese struts (Or coilovers). The springs will need to be replaced with higher rate springs (progressing rate springs are best and are closest to BMW type). Fortunately for you there are more options for the RWD M35 with regards to struts and springs. I still haven't heard of anyone completely replacing the suspension bushings here. There are complete kits for G35's and they may work but no one was brave enough to try that out yet.

Take a look at page 46 of this PDF. The master kit may work on the M35. Bushings are the biggest factor next to the shocks/struts that make the car feel tighter.

Here's a few older threads about sway bar bushing sizes (Confirmed and thanks to the OP)

I'm comparing the m35 to an E60 5 series or E66 7 series as I owned both and they were both sports package, even without sports package a bimmer feels more solid on the road over the M35 in which I'm missing that feeling. With what you said I will consider all these components when I'm changing my suspension. Thanks for your replies every one and happy new year.

Do you mean steering feedback when you refer to road feedback? I agree our steering is not the greatest and don't the E60 have the magnetically adjustable suspension? That's why replacing the suspension on a BMW costs 10k.
