Window Film Interfering with GPS, Radio, TPMS, etc???

I'm supposed to get me windows tinted tomorrow. I was going to get the highest quality metallic-type tint, but I was told that I shouldn't use it because it will interfere with the onboard electronics - everything from GPS to keyless entry to the FM radio and even the the tire pressure monitoring system! I was told I should use the dyed film with the polyester center. Is this true? I did a Google search and it appears to be true. I haven't checked the owners manual, but I'm told it mentions it in there.

I have Solar-Guard Quantum Metallic tint, with XM radio, GPS navigation, and I have NO PROBLEMS at all!!!!

Same here. Tints haven't messed up anything for me yet!

i have llumar tint 5% and i have probs with my gps (garmin, not factory) sometimes but i dont think its tint related. other than that no problems.
