...//almost screwed me over..!!

I was about 50 ft away from my car, tired, wasn't sure if I had locked it, so I thought I pressed the lock button at that time. 9 hrs later, I get out from a conference at an out-of-town hotel, and low and behold the two front windows in my vehicle are all the way down. WOOPS. :0] Plus, there is the shady guy just sitting in his car, two parking spots away, staring at my car.

great.................... that was awkward.

to make it worse, I had the following in my car: wallet, cell phone, digital camera, plus a copy of my credit report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess it was a sign that I need to smarten up... or wake up.... lol.

Do you know how seriously lucky you are....

You not only could have had your car stolen, but your identity at that. I wouldn't leave my wallet or my credit report in my car even with the windows up! Matter of fact, I don't leave anything of importance at all in my car, EVER!

If the shady dude in the car 2 spots over wanted to steal the car or rob your interior, he'd of done it already before you got there.

Def. let this be a lesson!! You're one lucky SOB... where I live, everything woulda been gone, including your car.

I did have a similar experience though, few years back, I lent my old POS Sentra to my mother (as my parents don't own a car cuz they live in Manhattan) for the day and she parked it in my neighborhood in the Bronx to return it and left my back windows open. We happened to have a downpour that night and my back seats got SOAKED. Had a mildew smell in my car for weeks. I coulda killed my mother, but I was just glad the smell was the only thing bad that happened, my car and all of it's belongings were still there!!!

Well actually I followed you this weekend, and saw your car, got you credit card numbers and filled up my rental car with gas, stole your SSN from your credit report (nice score by the way), took pictures of myself, then erased them on your digital camera, and made a few phone calls to my wife's family in Jamaica!
