I've had my 08 Versa SL for 3 weeks now and I love it, but I find that on the highway the wind noise is pretty bad, is it just mine or are other people getting the same thing???

Let me know, "How bad is your wind noise?"

thanks!

None to speak of with mine. I drive 70+ mph much of my commute and have heard things on my CD player that I've never noticed at home.

Some folks have mentioned a whistling noise from the driver's side mirror if the sheet metal was dimpled during installation. What's yours sound like?

Just took my first real highway trip . . . pretty strong winds [some whiteout conditions].

V knocked around a bit but not as bad as I expected. No wind noise at all (thankfully). In fact, the only wind noise issue I had with the car was the drive home from the dealership. Wife driving; me following; she pulls over and sonders if we should return because of wind noise. I get in and drive 10-15 feet )OK, maybe a bit more); close the passenger window, and let her drive noiselessly the rest of the way.

[forgive, please, if I've told the story here before]

i have a problem with the seals on teh back doors. They like to come loose, and when they do I get a lot of wind noise on the highway. You might want to make sure that the doors are sealing properly.

Thanks for the info everyone!

I'll make sure that all the seals are properly installed and if all that seems ok, then maybe its just me? lol

Cheers

I wouldnt know if I had noise, i always have the radio up too high.

This method has worked on just about every car I have owned, except for my Volvo 240 wagon. it was just too tank-like.

No problem with wind noise. I consider the Versa very quiet for a small economy car. I am used to a very quiet ride (2005 Tundra double cab), and the Versa is not bad. I have had the car on rode trips running 80-85 and it was still pretty quiet.

*shrug* My last vehicle was a '95 Convertible Sidekick... nothing like driving a tent on wheels to get you used to wind noise... I notice some, but with the radio up, it's not bad... and even with the radio off, I can still hear myself think... XoD
