Hello all flizsr45 (2003 pearl white) 48,000 miles just bought Jan, 2007.Has anyone experienced or is the wind/road noise normal on these cars.Had a 95 740IL that was very quiet driving. Now I do not hear air coming in like a window is down or door not closed. I'm talking about the cabin is load when driving and no music playing or climate control on. Also I paid $22,000 for mine do you think that was a good price. I'm satisfied with car so far except for the noise and its still under factory warranty plus I have an extended warranty, and by the way got a speeding ticket already. .

The 2003 M45 is not the most aero-dynamic, unfortunately. Like the new 2006+ M.

Plus, the frameless windows tend to be a bit more noisy than the newer model too, although it should not be too intrusive!

With music on, though, I can't hear any of that wind noise, so doesn't bother me too much, I guess!

Road noise depends on the tires a lot. A good tire should be relatively quiet, although some of the high-end ones will sacrifice road noise for performance. My Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 are better than average for road noise, but not as good as an expensive Touring tire. Of course, the performance blows away the Touring tires, so ... I'll live with the road noise!

I know what you're talking about man. Whenever i go over 100 mph i get that same sound like my window is open a little bit but its not. Also the car tends to throw me into diff lanes. I think its just the aerodynamics and the frameless window as szhosain mentioned.

The legal maximum speed in Japan is 100km/h 62 mph beyond that you get JAIL TIME and massive fines car impounded plus a small beating if no cameras are recording.

Oh well nothing. Why dont you have the tint guy fix it for you??? Any respectable tint shop takes out insurance just like any other business for just that situation.
