I have a 2006 M35 (37,000 miles) with excessive wind noise. It starts at around 35 mph. I know it's not the tires. I replaced them with different ones and no change in noise. My question is, has anyone else had a similar situation? If so, have you found a solution? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

It sounds silly, but make sure your windows are all closed, and your sunroof as well. Maybe the fan is blowing and you mistake that for wind. Its hard to tell. Have you crashed your car?

I wish it was something that simple. No crashes.

Are your side mirrors locked in the right place? Check the windshield cowling.

If you think its coming form your windows/doors i would suggest using masking tape to cover the edges on the doors and drive with them on. If its gone then remove a door at a time and when it comes back you know thats the door with your issue. Also check if the sunroof glass is pretty level with or just under the roof level.

Had similar issue on my 2006 not long ago...

Dealer replaced the two seals on the left and right side of the front windshield (they are effectively under the two chrome strips that run the top length of the vehicle). They did this at no cost to me.

They first tried to lift and reseat them but that was unsuccessful, so they order complete replacement (this included the chromed length pieces as well).

The only way I can describe how mine sounded (if you are looking for comparisons) was as if there was a really heavy crosswind... that be came more constant with speed.

That solution makes a lot of sense to me. I'm bringing the car to the dealer on Tuesday. If they have no ideas, I will show them what you had done.

Thank you for the info and I will post the results.

Just the car the back from the dealer. It took three days, but the repair was exactly as you descibed, all done under warranty. Thanks for the help.
