What wind deflector has everyone purchased for the moonroof? Is the one from the dealer the best option?

Welcome to NICO!

Actually, I am not sure if too many people have purchased add-on wind-deflectors (i.e., something beyond the small one that pops up when the roof is opened) ... so I am not sure if you will get a lot of responses.

What ones are you considering?

Between the summer temperatures, the increased drag and wind nse, and the side profile appearance, I think there are good reasons one doesn't see too many of those anymore on newer cars. Think very carefully before you make the leap.

But then some people think Buick style rain guards are the schnizzle.

Go figure!

I wouldn't advise to purchase one. Yes they cut down on the wind noise some, but they also will damage your paint. I found out on my daily driver 90 Maxima that grit and dirt gets up under the rubber seal that contacts your paint. Over a period of time, even after making sure that its kept clean, it has abraded the clearcoat . Not a pleasant thing to have! Not worth it to me , let alone the M looks better without it!
