Will you do the trade? 08 EX35 TO 2010 G37X

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I emailed the sale manager of my local Infiniti dealership if he could run me a figure if I decided to trade in my 2008 EX35 awd Journey base.

31K balance on Infiniti loan (includes 4 years Maintenance service). The G37X base $36,975 (Actual car) http://www.infinitinorthshore.com/new-i ... atureid=-1

VIN# JN1CV6AR8AM453892

My loan is a bit high due to a previous trade in from the Rav4 v6.

I`m paying around $620 on the current EX35 , the sales manager just ran a figure and he`ll take me out of the EX35 and will get the G37X out the door for $620 (I emailed him for the loan term, but I assume it`s 70 months)

Is this offer good or crap?

Why not wait I understand the desire for the 3.7 and 7 speed transmission... but the G interior is absolutely inferior to the EX, my advice would be to wait until the new G body style comes out maybe then the interior will improve! but I understand your need for speed. From a financial perspective that is a long term commitment at 620 per month (assuming 72 months) 4-6 years from now will you be happy paying 620 bux? or having to trade in and pay more than 620 per month... I would also consider how much longer is left on the EX loan but it seems like a long term based on your balance.

At 620 per month for 72 months that is almost 45k (60 months 37,200). If you are at 60 month term it makes pretty good sense and looks like you are making out, if its for 72 months I would pass

Good luck on your decision!

If it is 60 months, which is closer to my calculation , is very tempting.
72 months is a no go for me either. I'm just wondering if it is a fair deal if it is 60months?

Since you still owe nearly $31k on the 2008 from your previous RAV4 V6 trade in..I would hold onto what you have. Otherwise you will have even more negative equity on the next loan..

As the other poster said, I've had the 2010 G37 (loaner cars) and it's interior is not as nice as the EX's and the ride isn't as comfortable, though the G37 is more powerful/better handling.

The choice is yours. Personally I would never take out a 6yr loan on any car.

I just found out it`s a 72 months, so no way I`ll go that far...

I drove a 2009 G37X loaner and the ride is a lot better than the G35 I drove before. The 09 G37X is between EX35 and G35 ride. Yes, interior suck on both G`s, but the power on the 09 pushed me on my seat.

I`ll stick with the EX35 and pay it off, then get a 500hp dream car later on...
