I got an rb20det automatic. I want 5-speed.

300zx N/A clutch300zx flywheelKA transmission KA Bellhousing

Any issues with this setup?

I thought the bellhousing was different between the RB20 and the KA? I don't know first hand, so if I am wrong, atleast I bumped this up

KA bellhousing won't work, and I'm not sure about the z32 flywheel either, I was curious about that because I can't get ahold of an aluminum flywheel .

i heard that the KA bellhousing WILL work from the 240sxforums.com...atleast for the rb20

nvm you are right it wont work you have to swap bellhousings meaning use rb bellhousing with ka transmission....hmmm anyone got a 5-speed rb bellhousing?

Swapping with Stealth-Z would be by far the easiest way to do this, and it's not too often you'll find someone wanting an auto!

someone mentioned on this forum that the rb20's bell housing will bolt onto the ka transmission. that would be worth a try.

but then, trade transmission w/ STEALTH sound like the better way out

I will trade you. in what condition is your transmission? mine has only 40K miles on it. it shifts fine and works great.

is it an rb20det transmission?

My 5 speed trans is out of an R32 clip I took appart. The clutch assembly looks to have low miles. The odometer had around 48000km on it. Anything you would want and need for the conversion would be included.

I just ask for the same in return. Also, do you still have the Skyline auto shifter mechanism? My Z is right hand drive and it would work perfectly.

yes i do have the skyline auto shifter for RHD. I still kept in just in case. So yes everything included for swap.
