ok i have a 1999 auto ga16de powered sentra that i want to bring back to life. and a best friend that has a sr20de (JDM) with a manual . and i want to swap it all. i have nissan FSM's and i have friends that would help. and that have done the swap with the sr before but not a ga16 swap so i need to know what on the G20caniuse . more specificly i need to know about the axles and wheel hubs. i read sticky on the swap in this forum but it refers to SE-R. and im getting stuff off the G20t. i think it has limited slip. its a touring edition. Thanks in advance.

You can't use the axles because the hubs are different on the sentra and g20. You can't use the dog bone mounts either from the g20. You can use the transmission and it does have LSD because it came from a g20t. You can use the wiring harness and ecu from the g20 since both cars are obdII. So you need to buy axles for a b13/b14 se-r, find some motor mounts from a b13/b14 as well. Use the motor, transmission, wiring harness and ecu from the g20t.

ok so what about using a center crossmember (dogbone) from a NX2000 I found one in the junkyard and it still has the motor and manual in it. and could i use the axles from that? i was going to get the front brakes form it anyway as an upgrade. and what about the wheel hubs i have on the car. i know the axles are different on the transmission side but what about the wheel side. are they the same? or different thicknesses. i cant tell from the pics in the FSM's i downloaded. Thanks alot.

im also thinking of going to an automatic only because i think its going to suck to mount the clutch pedal and cut a whole for the shift linkage. i been looking in the junkyard to see how things are connected and it just looks hard to install. especialy if the wholes arent marked already or predrilled. i kinda know where it should mount but if im off alittle do you think it would matter?

You can use the cross member from the nx2k. You can use the axles and hubs from the nx as well to put on the b14. I would just get the hubs, brakes definately and buy new axles and save yourself some piece of mind knowing you want have to replace them anytime soon and if you buy them from Autozone, they are warrantied forever. If you don't want to fool with the manual swap then leave it auto. The swap isn't hard, but in depth and you will have to source all the parts. You should be able to tell on your car if the holes are pre drilled or marked in some way.

What junkyard did you find the nx in? I need a lid for my armrest.

Oh yeah your in louisville too. hope to see your ride someday. Ok so i can tell ya where it is but you have to do me a small favor. Unhook the stuff i need and place it in the back seat for me. lol.

The car is at Amen Autoparts. its off I-65 south its on the same exit as Kart kountry and the car is in the second row from the right fence going left and all the way back on the fence in the back its Black. and easy to spot. there is a whole lot of 300zx 240's B14's G20's and stuff out there its a good yard. its confined and muddy in some spots but if your looking for nissan it has a very good assortment. and talk to Jason he looks like a poster child for golds gym, easy to spot, he is a nissan nut so if your looking for anything special he's the man and if he knows about our Nissan passion he is a good help in the yard. on prices and all.

thanks for your help . this is the most help ive found online so far. i appreciate it. Amen Autoparts 502-955-7830

Ok one last question.

The wireing harness. is it the electircal system that goes through the whole car or is does it just go between the engine componets to the ecu. im trying to visualize what people are talking about. Im realy hoping i can use the hook ups that are in my car already and just leave some things unhooked or splice in the new stuff. and also is it diffrent between the wireing you would find in a automatic vs a manual car. Thanks in advance.
