And if it works with photo's, will it work with music?

Hopefully some of the youngsters can explain when they wake up?

Will it work with NICO in terms of uploading pictures? No, since you have to use a photo hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr.
Eye-Fi Help Site wrote:The Eye-Fi Card currently supports JPEG photo uploads. Non-JPEG content can be stored on the Eye-Fi Card like a standard SD memory card, but only JPEG photos will upload.
So, you can put music on it, but it can't upload it to a computer. That's some pretty cool stuff you found there.

How would it matter?

With a pic, it's helpful to know where it was taken.

With music, I'm not sure what you'd want it to automatically detect?

I'm confoozled.

BIG BROTHER

Will it work with Nico? Maybe if the meta tag data sticks with the picture, then you would have to d/l the photo and open up the "advanced" data for it.

What are we going to do with music? Record the time and place where Telco saved $4 in his 401k by switching to regular? hahahaha.

I think he was wondering more about if you put music on the card, could you transfer it to another computer wirelessly and vice versa.

Location data is probably saved as a caption, so it probably wouldn't show up in the picture itself, rather in the file data, just like a picture from a digital camera will tell you what camera took the picture. If you wanted location data on the picture like a date stamp, the camera itself would have to be capabable of doing so.

Exactly! Would it be possible to transfer music via bluetooth from those cards to the audio system in a G?

Nope, sorry. Can't do that either. Bluetooth is a different wireless signal than Wi-Fi. Plus, only certain Bluetooth items work with the G's system. Some day telcoman, some day it will be possible. Just not yet.

Telco,

Are you stuck with ripping CDs to the HD?

Not really. The 06 G does not have the hard drive but perhaps my next one will? I find I Tunes somewhat difficult since I have no instructions. I usually just ask my daughter when I have a problem. I have a good portion of my old records on a 500gb hardrive and on I tunes and my I Pod. I have a couple of hundred vinyl 33 1/3 RPM records that I haven't had time to transfer yet.It would be nice to be able to carry all this music around with you and listen in the car. I was a teenager at the birth of Rock & Roll and still love the music.

Ahh the good old days when i just put a 45 RPM record on the turntable

My advice would be to ditch iTunes and use Window Media player (assuming you don't have a Mac).

I use WMP for all of my music and rip it in MP3 format. WMP works much more intuitively than iTunes and isn't all finicky. It also doesn't limit how many copies of a song you have or where you're allowed to play it (maybe the Vista version does???).

WMP more intuitive? What's your definition of intuition? I'm not sure what you mean by iTunes limits where you can play a song? Explain? Or how it limits how many copies of a song you can have? All you need is one copy and you put it in whatever playlists you want. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Windows hater nor an Apple groupie. After years of using WMP and trying out iTunes, I only use WMP to listen to XM Online, which in fact I find more intuitive to use than WMP itself.

Ripping music in WMP is straight forward (once you've set your ripping options).

WMP is good about finding music and adding it to your library.

WMP doesn't automatically use DRM proprietary formatting like iTunes does. The Mpeg4(?) that iTunes defaults to only allows 5 copies of the song to exist and also limits which devices the songs can be played on.

I've had all sorts of problems with iTunes both on a Mac and PC. I feel like my "Organization" is bunch of piles that I stacked up on my desk. I also feel that WMP rips CDs faster than iTunes or Nero
