will this turbo elbow fit?

I have a s13 with a redtop sr20det. Current exhaust setup is stainless steel exhaust manifold, stock turbo elbow, 3'' stainless steel downpipe test pipe and back. I have this elbow laying around and I was thinking about putting it on but I have did some searching and it seems like some elbows dont clear the steering or cause the downpipe to hit the frame rails. So my question is will this elbow fit? also, is it an improvement from the stock cast iron one? cause i know there is a lot of debate over if they actually help too.

Only way to find out is bolt it on and take it to a dyno before and after. It is going to be a tight fit near that steering column. I really don't see a point in that dump pipe the way the waste gate is separated then comes back to the same flow of the engine's exhaust. If anything the waste gate needs its own piping coming out like a screamer piece.
