Hi,

A few weeks ago I bought rims and tires for my infiniti M35x
which was mounted on 245/45/18.

Since where I live requires winter tires, I decided to get myself a second set of rims and tires for my Infiniti.

I was suggested to go on 17" since tires of that size would be considerably cheaper. I picked up relatively new tires from a guy who bought the wrong size. Now i think I've done the same mistake :ohno: :tisk:

This is the size I got; 215/55/17.
Is my diameter offset too much off mark? I believe I am at 1.4%

Thanks

whats the size of the rim (width). If the tire is stretched a bit you may be ok. On my winter tires I got 17" alloy rims with 50 series 225 width.

I dont know if this is of any use, but the Rims are; 17" from a 2004 Infiniti G35 Sedan and they are not staggered.

Im going to check when I get home from work to confirm.

I think you will be just fine. Your tire diameter with the 17's means you're doing 59.17 mph vs. 60 mph with the 18's. Obviously section width is different; 8.46" with the 17's vs. 9.65" with the 18's.

Smoovc is correct about the with, and there is a big difference. Will it look bad? Should I get spacers?

Thanks
