will this harness work for my ka24de?

i bought a 97 ka24de harness i just wanted 2 make sure if it wld work wit my 91 ka24de motor and if it wld also work wit a 91 ecu cuz im swaping from sohc to the dohc. thanx Jason

well the 91 DE motor is OBD1, and the ECU is OBD1 as well so you got that covered.

Now the 97 harness is from an OBD2 engine which has some extra sensors.

What I would do is download the wiring schematic for the S13 and S14, there shouldn't be many differences and convert it, shouldn't be too hard at all.

The harness layout is going to the body is pretty different, for example, on the s13, there are several plugs going to the body where on the s14, there is just one smj going to the body.Also the ecu plug is different along with several plugs on the engine. You can use the 97 ecu but you'll have a check engine light since s13's don't have an iat sensor and it's missing all of the evap parts that the s14 kouki's have. I don't remember all of the different plugs but i know the maf plug is different, the tps, o2, it's missing the swirl valve solenoid plug and i'm sure there is more but thats what i can think of off the top of my head.You can make it work but it's going to require extensive rewiring.

It'll work but you will have to do a lot of splicing and mating.

For starts, the ecu-end of the harness has a different plug and will not plug into the ecu unless you get the right year(s) ecu.
