Best gas saving technique? Ride your bicycle or walk or ride a horse.

Always remember manufacturers pay a fuel guzzler tax on each car sold based on MPG.......................they would do anything to improve things by even 1 MPG to lower this tax................sometimes even 0.05 MPG can drop them into a lower bracket saving $500 per vehicle.

Everything possible has already been tried and installed if it cost less than $500 in mass quanities [retail might be few thousand].

I bought an ab blaster off an infomercial 15 years ago, they said it would get rid of my beer belly in 6 weeks. I used it and used it and I still got a real big gut.

I ran a can of BG 44K through a month ago. Prior to that I was getting 315-330 miles per tank and so far all 3 tanks went to 350. I only have 50k on my car so that was an unexpected benefit.

8% fuel improvement might be optimistic however one injector does supply 12.5% of the fuel.

do this. read the traffic ahead of you as far down the road as possible. back out of the throttle earlier, brake judiciously, do not tail gate, accelerate smoothly. if this seems all to much trouble or just isnt fun enough then indeed maybe the Q is for when you just gotta hammer it. i can consistently obtain 21 to 23 mpg from my 96Q by doing the above + other fuel saving techniques. i can just as easily bring the avg. mpg. down to 16/17 mpg by hard acceleration & hard breaking. a lot of it is up to you.

That's easy. Just requires the right amount of tequila.

Guys, I understand what the fuel consumption is of a Q45 and I've always owned cars that are thirsty. I don't mind it otherwise I wouldn't have purchased a V8. A well tuned car and a neglected one can make a significant difference too. Also, considering I've spent over $7000 on my Q in one year should let you guys understand that saving $5 a fill up is not my top priority. I only started this thread to see if anyone had any understanding to the concept or the science behind the device.

I think you are basically seeing our extreme skepticism about these devices. There is no provable science behind their claims ...
