I really need to get new tires and i've decided on the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. I have the stock 15 inch 4 lug alloys that came on my 98 base model 240sx. I know the wheels were original fitted with 195/60R15 tires. Now the car has 205/60R15 tires. The Ecsta Supra 712's don't come in 205/60R15's. Will the Kumhos in a 205/55R15 fit the wheel? I know 55 is the sidewall height question is it going to be to short to allow for the extra width.

I'm ordering the tires off the net and don't want to buy them if they aren't going to fit.

Thanks for any help.

The difference is a whopping 5mm. They should fit. Also might want to ask the company you are buying from...if they don't know, I wouldn't buy from them :P

this is a good tool.... you're decreasing total diameter 0.3" and making your speedometer read 1.4% too fast

just make sure the new tire has an equivalent (or better) load rating than a stock tire.

yes, I've been running the 205/55 tires on my car for awhile...had some 225/50 tires on the stock steel rims before that, they fit fine. They are kind of small though and make your car look a bit like it's got roller skate wheels on it :)

I always ran 205/50/15's and liked the way they looked. The 55's should be perfect.
