Im currently planing on buying new tires for my car currently I have a 245 40 17 on the rear and 225 45 17 in the front (17x8F 17x9R) the rears need to be replaced I want to go with a 255 40 17. or should I go with the 255 45 17 to keep the sidewall the same as the front? I guess i'm wondering if its gonna present any problems being 5mm different than the front.

personally for a 9j rim 235/45 is the perfect size. i wouldn't go any higher than 245

a 235 will be a stretch the 245's I have on there now are stretched only reason I put them on there is cuz I got the tires cheap. but now its time to replace them and I don't want to run a streched tire.
