7.5" is quite skinny (the same size as stock NA wheels)

Go with something atleast 8.5" wide

I've seen 10" wide in the rear without clearance issues. Depends on the offset though.

Those have the same widths as stock TT wheels. Like Jerry said, go for something wider...

8.5/9.5 is good, if you plan on staying NA then 9/8 is fine.

Of course not, there's only more surface area on the tire creating more contact with the road. Wait, that means you DO grip better with wider tires.

All sarcasm aside, yes you will get better traction. If you're gonna stay NA for a while or plan on getting new wheels down the road then the 8/9 setup would be fine, otherwise it's kind of a waste of money.

Wider wheels/tires are not always better.

They put more stress on your suspension, steering and driveline components. Also you have to buy more expensive tires to wrap them with, and if you don't have your suspension setup to adjust your camber properly you'll scrap your tires in a hurry. If your roads are not perfectly flat then you will find the car likes to jump around on the road alot more with wider tires.

That being said, they do grip better.

the only problem I see with wider tires is clearance and weight, my race setup required me to cut the body away to make room for 17x11 frotns and 17x12 rears on my 240Z,a nd they weigh about 50 lbs each (wheela with tire mounted) compared to my old 15x7 setup that weighed about 30 lbs each wheel with tire mounted) extra rotating mass takes more power to turn! and so long as you don't change the offset you won't add any substantial stress to your suspension parts, and if your not lowered and your camber is correct you won't have drivabulity issues

when you lower a car you increase camber and this makes cars darty to drive, good thing when racing bad thing on the street, also tires with larger softer sidewalls will reduce this effect

those 9.5 front and rear enkei's turned out to be a damn typo, now i cant find them in anything wider than 7.5, im convinced enkei wheels are another small car specific company . why the hell doesnt anybody make clean 5 spoke rims for REAL cars that arent expensive as hell, its like just because your car is expensive everything you buy for it has to be expensive as well, i might have to just go with the sportmax simply because they are the widest in that style that i can find to fit my car, if anyone else knows where i can find some clean gold or bronze 5 spoke star style wheels 8.5 or 9.5 wide that will fit my z pleas DO TELL!!

when i say not expensive as hell it doesnt mean cheap, i dont want to pay more then 1200 for rims and tires, 5zigen makes some tight *** wheels in nice sizes but they are all like $300 per wheel without tires! those enkie's are $169 per wheel! the bundle with wheels and tires is like $936 or something and that is my price range, cheap would be like $100 or less for wheels, and it depends on the brand alot too.
