I was on the hunt for springs for my coupe, I got an offer on some Tein springs (Product Model: TE-SKK16-AUB00) and after some research of that part number it looks like those springs are for the sedan. However the seller keeps insisting these will fit the coupe with 2" of drop...
So I come to this forum to ask, anyone have an idea of if these will fit my 3.5SE coupe and if so what kinda drop would I be looking at?
No, I don't think they will. All other spring manufacturers for the current generation Altima have different part numbers for their spring/coilover setups, including TEIN. I actually received the sedan springs when ordered mine, but had to return them because they wouldn't have fit.
I would tell your seller to learn more about their product and ask for a return to get the correct item.
I haven't bought them yet and I figured that was the case. I mean Tein has them listed as different part number too, I just didn't wads pass up a good deal if these would work.

Also - while the spring may fit on the strut assembly, it may be a different spring rate designed for the sedan's specific strut. This could cause premature wear on suspension components, or cause unpredictable suspension response on less than optimal roads.
My approach would be to do a little bit more shopping for some springs that are 100% made for your coupe. Don't get caught up in the urgency to buy something. You'll buy it twice if you get the wrong stuff the first time, and you'll spend more money than you save.
Yeah I am not made of money so I don't wanna end up spending $100's later to fix a mistake I made to save me $20 now.
This forum is great! You guys offer good support and information!
