Absolutely.............. if you want to take the chance of your whels losing contact with the ground and going off the road...

there's a reason the go through so much trouble for research and Development...

its potentially dangerous, and just an all around BAD IDEA to use springs not specifically designed for a vehicle... regardless of who has informed you otherwise!!!

Well even if it generally is a bad idea to use any part not specifically designed for a certain model the Tien springs might work, and if you can get them for cheap it might even be worth a shot.

I can only speculate, but if the older generation does share the same chassis it could be as simple as plug and play. Or it could be disastrously incompatible.

As far as I know no one has tested this out, so if you would like to be a guinea pig, by all means! It would benefit the community

Springs and struts do serve a vital function... But they seem so damn simple!

I'm fairly certain fox marketing did that with their white altima coupe. They reported signs of spring shifting and uncomfortable "clicking" noises. I wouldn't do it, its an unsafe and unnecessary risk since the market is there, you have 2 companies to by springs from right now. The whole reason FM even attempted that is because they had to build a car for sema, and it needed to me lowered. It wasn't for practical driving use.

... Exactly, no springs were out yet when Fox built that coupe... not sure about Tein, but I know Eibach tested their 3rd generation springs on the A/C and it was a no go safety wise...

remember, Eibach has 4 versions of lowering springs for the 08 Altimas, two for the sedan and two for the Coupe... don't you think it would have been wayy cheaper to just have 1 set for all four vehicles... yes, cheaper, but not safe.. you think they wold reallly spend the tens of thousands of dollars in man hours doing R&D if they could avoid it?

There are a number of things I would suggest trying out and seeing if something works... THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!!!!! I can refer you to a real suspension setup guru if it makes you feel better, but he will tell you the same thing... DO NOT put springs from another generation's vehicles on your car, unless you have some crazy desire to wreck your car! And when you do, and the insurance company finds out, or NIsssan finds out, then you've got a whole nother thing to worry about...

it would be cheaper and more practical to

1. be patoent and wait for Tein to come out with their springs

2. Get the ibachs for now, just to gt rid of the 4 x 4 look, and then get the Tein's when they come out and sell your Eibachs
