They list a larger center bore than listed in the FAQ. 108mm - 6x5.5 Lug

So... Will they work?

Contact Rugged Rocks Off Road They sell the trail gear ones that are pretty sweet. For some reason they're not listed on their site right now but I bought a set about 2 months ago.

Yeah, I know thats where you guys both got yours but when I checked (like you said) they aren't listed. I suppose I can give them a call.

While I have you both here though, what parts did y'all replace when you installed your lift?

Here is a list of what I have decided to replace regardless:

Strut Mounts
Piston Rod Nut
Strut-to-Knuckle Nuts and Bolts
Shock Mounting Nuts

But there are so many other pieces down there (spring seats, bump stops, dust boots etc.) i'm having a hard time deciding what I should/shouldn't replace. Also a quick question about strut mounts - from what i've read, KYB strut mounts are trash and those are the ones sold on 4x4parts, so where can I find OEM Strut Mounts? Courtesy Parts of course, but the strut mount is sold in about 10 different pieces there. So which ones did/would you replace?

Thanks for the help!

You could always get them direct from trail gear. Thats where I got mine, and I havent had any problems to date. Here is a link

And yeah when I did my lift I did new shocks in the rear with the new springs. As for the front I got new front kyb struts, and new strut tower mounts, that I sourced from the local nissan dealership. I had the stock dust boots put on but they eventually just wore off and I havent had a problem with them. But if you have road salt near you, ya may want to get new boots. All the hardware should be able to be used again, if not, then just get the stock replacement stuff at the nissan dealership.

I got all 4 of mine for 150 bucks :bigthumb: But that was from a friend. You could check craigslist, sometimes there are some good deals on there. I see alot of single tires for sale, most common is a BFG AT...most ppl use them as spares on tire carriers and stuff and just need money so they sell them. I find brand new at''s that have never been used for 100 bucks all the time, so you can piece together a set in some time. I also saw a brand new km2 for 175 bucks both were 285 75 16's. One other option is to go with retread tires. I know what you are thinking oh, they are going to blow up on me or something like that but do some research, alot of forums have topics over these Treadwright tires. Most love them and say they perform well. They are pretty cheap also, and the "Warden AT" tire that they make is pretty much identical to the bfg at, like if the sidewall was not differenet you would never know. They get used carcases of old tires mainly like bfg at's and mt's and re tread those so you still have a good sidewall. Here is a link to their site, do some looking into it and see what you find. I may be going with the "Guard Dogs" after I get my sfd on. Mainy because you can get a brand new 35x12 tire for 140 bucks :chuckle:

Edit: Forgot the link :lolling: And the Warden AT's are only $99.14 for a 285-75-16

Man.... Thats tempting!

But i'm sort of skeptical. (Not to mention the sidewalls look beat on their promo. pictures)

Comes out to a little less than a $300 difference after shipping...

I just asked over on Gen. Chat if anyone has had any experiences with them so we'll see...

Thanks for that info though! Never knew about those and I bet a lot of people on here didn't either!

That's where I ordered mine from and when they came, they came with 12mmx1.25 lugs, and My factory studs are 12mmx1.50, I don't know how this is possible since factory studs are supposed to be 1.25 thread. I suppose someone had to swap all the studs? Anywho this made for some fun trying to find and buy 24 new lug nuts, since no one had them. But I eventually I got the lug nuts and got it done.

1.5"; For the sole purpose of fitting the stock wheels.

I'm not a huge fan of the wider track that comes with spacers, so depending on the look once installed, these may be a temporary solution.

That should not be a problem. The holes are large enough to fit over and tighten the spacer onto the original studs with the old lugs. The spacer should come with new lugs and studs in it which will fit over the wheel. Atleast thats how mine came. You just cant switch lugs from front to back just side to side.

Well since the wheel spacer studs had a different thread than the factory studs I would have had to use the acorn lug nuts to tighten the wheel spacers to the factory studs, but the lug nuts where to long. They stuck outside of the spacer about 1/4 inch. so the backside of the wheel hit the lug nut, therefore it didn't work. Get what I'm sayin?

For those of you with wheel spacers installed....

Do you experience a slight vibration in the steering wheel at high (65mph+)speeds?

I have always had a wheel vibration ever since I put on my 33's but thats cause of the balancing no biggie though. Im used to it by now.

I HIGHLY doubt that the wheel spacers are causing the wheel shake.

No Spacers Installed = No Wheel Vibration;

Spacers Installed = Wheel Vibration

I'm pretty sure its the spacers (maybe not the machining of the spacers themselves but something related to their installation).

Really? Cause I put my spacers on and ran the stock wheels and tires at highway speed to a mom and pop tire shop where they put on the 33's after that I had a wheel shake. Weird.

Yeah I'm currently running stock wheels and tires with the spacers on. The vibration is not bad at all - just something I noticed after the spacers had been installed. And now that I think about it, I don't remember it being there when I was last on the freeway so maybe it's gone! I'm going to check and re-torque them in about a week or so just to make sure everything is remaining nice and snug.

Google wheel spacers and vibration - it's a pretty common problem. You wont get many (if any) Patfhinder results, but it looks like a lot of other vehicles experience the same problem.

i had the spider trax spacers on my 2005 xterra and always had a vibration at 65ish, it got a little worse as my rear shocks were going out.

had 285/75 bfg AT spacers were on for about 50k or more no issues with the spacers at all
