Okay, i like to go crazy sometimes and i wanna fit these rims on my coupe i got. They're 18x10+25, i know they'll fit the rear fine, but the question is will they fit under stock body front fenders? I don't wanna get fiberglass front fenders...

all the cars on rimtuck are using overs on the fronts, so i'm guessing i'll have too.

if all the cars on rimtuck are using them then yeah.. pretty sure you will too.
it isn't the easiest for even s14s to fit 10s up front without a dumb stretch.

the problem you'll have is full lock clearance. but you already know that...

Yeah, you won't be able to turn very well.

Also, they'll stick out like a mofo. Like to the point of not looking good. You'll definitely have to ditch the stock fenders.

i dont think that size will even clear the strut/coils, i think you would need a 10-15mm spacer

Yeah, I think you need a minimum of +18 to fit a 10 inch wide wheel. Here's a profile of a guy running 17x10+18 up front with stock fenders:
http://www.rimtuck.com/setup.php?id=755

As you might notice, the owner listed using a spacer in the rear, but not in the front. This puzzles me, quite frankly. Because some other ppl say that a 9.5 won't even fit unless your offset is like around +12.

Here's 18x10.5+15 with 3mm spacers making a +12 offset and I think 235/35 tires all around:

I hope this helps.

it really depends how far you wanna go.
i mean how much camber and what stretch do you want? i think +18 is the highest offset you can run with 10 wide up front.

its totally possible though.

this guy is running 10J -34 up front on modified stock fenders. stay metal f*** fiberglass.

righttt. I hate fiberglass front fenders. I'm esp trying to get a silvia front conversion, so the metal would be nicer, So i could get a way with a slip on 10mm spacer with extended studs?

you gotta remember
those are s14 Kouki fenders up front on that coupe.
He has more room to play as the s14 fenders allow more space.

Yes.
:slap:

If you want stock fenders,
It's high offsets / big tires
or low offset / small tires.

As for backspacing,
It really depends on your suspension/coilovers.
Some coilovers can barely clear 9.5 +15
Others can swallow 10 +20.

They will fit.
You will need to pull the rear fenders pretty hard to fit.
You will need to roll the front fenders. Your turning radius will decrease if you don't want to rub. You will rub though.

215/40

That's actually the tire size i plan on running. with a 225/40 in the rear most likely. My rears I plan on getting 30 overs with 25mm wheel spacers.

It would really be helpful to know which coilovers have the most room available for backspacing. I really want to figure out if it's possible to run a 17x10+20 with 245/40 up front now.

I think Aragostas can.
Some guy on Zilvia used to,
idk if he still does,
sell housings for Koni inserts that could clear 9" +35 wheels.

I wish I would've saved the picture.

Aragostas?! I ain't trying to spend that kind of money! lol

I just had an idea: Check Rimtuck for any 240's with 10 inch wide wheels with high(ish) offsets up front & see what coilover's they're running...

Apexi N1 Pro's 17x10+18
http://www.rimtuck.com/setup.php?id=755

Megan Tracks 18x10+16
http://www.rimtuck.com/setup.php?id=260

Man, I wish more of these guys were more detailed with their setups. Never really considered them before, but these Apexi's just landed on my radar now...

Megan has these optional bottom brackets that allegedly net more backspace clearance.
I don't know how accurate that is,
but it's a pretty cool feature.

Holy crap! I never knew that existed!

So...these give you 25mm more backspace?! Wow. Megan just shot up in dopeness to me...

Yeah
It's weird how a company like Megan
can make something as cool as that.

I'll measure my psm coils next week.

Yeah, it seems like such a simple and much needed concept... you'd think the more companies would do it too, but I searched and didn't find any others. :gotme

So it seems that this will allow ppl to run wide wheels with high offsets up front and therefore wider tires as well, since the wheel would be as close to the fender. Of course, you must still consider how these higher offset wheels with wider rubber might rub your inner wheel well lining. All in all, still a really cool item.

I wonder what prevents it from being used with another coilover? Looks like it just threads right on... :squint:

They probably don't
Part Shop Max dampers are so thick and coarse
they make megans look like toothpicks.
Im sure the shock diameters and threads differ between companies.
