http://store.racinglab.com/ni9524stasus ... asus1.html

theyre both tanabe rear-tightening bars...

and would anybody know where II find th rear-end version of this: http://store.racinglab.com/ni9524stasuu1.html

and whether or not it`ll fit alsothese, a do-luck x-bar and the rear nismo stb are all eventually gonna be on this zenki if they`ll work.

btw if you have any advice on where the chassis can be spot-welded and/or what the best 4 point rear rollbar type setup is... or worse yet if you know where the sound deadening materials are, and what all`s removable whether partially necessary or un- alltogether.

my goal is the most extreme lightweight and rigid chassis possible, if the above doesn`t spell this out obviously enough. I`ll take the paint off if iThink I`ll save weight as a result. I`d rather have low power and almost no weight than to increase power and not worry about weight. You get better mileage that way.

ed: after a bit of attention paid II wha all iWas lookin at, ive decided that iThink th tanabes are upper and lower pieces, the lower goin inbtween th struts under th chassis, an th upper goin somewhere in th rear of th passenger cabin, where im gonna put a nismo bar instead. but, how bout if iAdd this piece in there with all this stuff: http://store3.yimg.com/I/jspec_1791_7660823 ?

if anyone here would know, or know how II find out (without purchase and a scale) what the lightest rims and racing seats are.

What iDo know is, I`ve heard good things about Konig Holes and I`m guessing that sparco or recaro rally style seats (no reclinin or adjustability and one piece) would be my best choices. Though iDo admire those s7 mods and the recaro speed.

iThink iJust need an EDM elise, :D .

You really should be in the suspension forums with this, but I'll help you out. Both of those two pieces with hyperlinks (rear STB and Rear Sway bar) will bolt onto your car. I have done both of these modifications to my own vehicle and the strut tower brace takes roughly 15 minutes whereas the Sway bar takes 2 hours. As far as I know, the rear brace for the S14 can be found hereOverboost!

For the lightest racing seats, check out the sparco and recaro carbon fiber backed series, though they cost more than my car cost me, they're the lightest. As for wheels, Konig has the new Heliums that weigh like 16.2 lbs for 17" wheels. Do both me and you a favor and leave your paint on, god knows all we need is another primer grey 240 out there. Might I also suggest the front brace that you have in your third hyperlink and a front upper strut tower brace(STB) so that you actually have some steering response and not purely oversteer. Hope this helps.

im not II sure what II say... that`s... everything so, just, thanks thanks and yeah I`m anything but about to go primer style. Also, iWas gonna get those front-tightening pieces also actually, iJust figured them a given, kinda like how nearly everybody uses those kyb agx things... (im savin for type he`s btw). And best believe, im goin straight out II find these parts you listed, sounds great. iThink iMay try and find you again for a reference if iHave a question again.

btw, do you know of anything interesting drift-related in the southeast? im sure if iLooked aroun atlanta or miami i`d find somethin eventually, but iLive in birmingham so it`s not like iKan just up and drive out for any old reason...

sound deaening crap= pull back the carpet in your front fllorboards. behind the carpet is some brown crap that could go and on top of that is some plastic/rubbery crap that can easily be removed. i pulled out a couple bag fulls. must have been around ten pounds or so maybe more.

if you really want to get hardcore take out all the carpet. underneath youll find some tar based materila. i havent tried this stuff yet, but there is enough to lose more weight. ive heard heating it helps to come up. some say wait til winter and pry it off. and someone else mentioned kerosene works wonders with it as well.

triiyan, I appreciate the compliment, I wouldn't mind having a friend on the boards by any means. I don't mind helping when I can, and if you have any pics of your S14 if you have them. As far as drifting in the southeast, we don't really have any good events, I live in FL and I'm pretty sure that there aren't anymore legally sanctioned events down in Miami or anything, not even here in Daytona Beach, the race capital of the south. ( North Carolina does have some very, very, very drifty roads though if you're out for a risky but fun adventure). Let me know if you need a walkthrough on anything.

well uh, yeah ill be doing all that gutting soon, thanks for the advice there, and to drift-x, iExpekted as much, though iHear there may be a track being built in atlanta sometime soon. About touge style, there`s some interesting roads in north alabama and tennesee also, and I`m sure iWould find something worth taking on near the coast-line but iJust don`t have the funds for gas and tires, or the time with work... anaway uh, th s14, shes not even mine yet, so there`s nuthin II be impressed about, but iDid get a general capture when iFirst met her. heh heh, anaway yeah i`ll attach it, and I`ll probably be posting about the work iDo as iGo on, with updated shots companion-ing, may make one of those car-domain things everybody seems II have, slick One-via btw, I`m a night oriented person myself...

I like the pic a lot. As for the cash situation, I know where you're coming from, that's one of those save up a penny here and there and then take your trip in a few months or in my case one year from now. I hope that you get that S14, it looks promising. Contact me anytime you need me. [email protected]
