Offset has nothing to do with caliper clearance. It is all in the design of the wheel. Altima's do not come with wide 4-pot or Brembo brakes so about 95% of wheel designs with a +42 offset will fit. It is all about how you want the wheel to sit under the fender and what it takes to make it flush.

Do you have a picture of the wheel that you're looking at from the back side or at some angle other than straight on?

You'll fit with way more than enough clearance. That's basically almost stock specs on the SE models (17x7.5 - 5x114.3 +45). The only difference is your wheel will stick out 3mm more out toward the fender.

I have tried searching, but can someone post a location to find 02-06 altima wheel specs? My gf wants to get an altima so I'm reading up ahead of time.

I know the 05-06 SE-R models were 18x8 +45 and I know for a fact that they'll fit the other models as well.
