My little brother is going to join the army and sell his 89 240 coupe. Its in really bad condition he probably wont get much for it, but it has a set of enkei rs5's on it that are 17's. I would think they should fit since they fit on his, but his alignment is all sorts of messed up, which i assumed probably came from his messed up aftermarket suspension held on by some random bolts the guy before him used, the whole car is full of wrong sized bolts and stripped bolts and all sorts of fun. I looked up the rims on http://www.enkei.com and they only have two sizes for the 4 lug variety, the offsets are 40 on both of them, and the only difference between the 2 are the bolt patterns, one with 4X100/114.3 and the other 4X100/108, both have same bore dia. (72.62). So will either one of those fit my stock 92 240?

They arent exactly the rims i would have picked but theyll be a lot cheaper this way. I dont know much about fitting rims but a friend of mine had a dodge stealth and went through like 4 sets of wheel bearings in one year cause he just tossed some random rims he found lying around on his car. Thats what he told me at least...Anyways any input is appreciated

The 114.3's will fit the 240sx. the 4x100 will only fit a sentra. You'll also need some spacers to make them fit better, otherwise they'll just look like chrome stock wheels.

how can i tell if his are the 114.3s just to be sure since the other guy put it together with scraps? and so i get like 4 4x114.3 spacers, one for each wheel, how thick should i get? like i said i don't know anything about them...

as previous has mentioned...

the version that comes in 4 x 100 and 4 x114.3 will bolt to your car using the 4x114.3 pathern

They'll bolt on but they won't "FIT", well atleast not with those offsets.

Get lower offsets to actually gain some sort of a stance worth wild after spending your hard earned cash.

Whats widths are you going with?

the enkei site (http://www.enkei.com/Performance%20specs/rs5.html) said they only come in 17X7, so 7in and the only offset it had was 40 for 17's.

thanks for the help ill just let him sell the car with his rims then and get some better ones down the road, i want to worry about getting it where i want performance wise before i spend money making it look better. Just curious since the deal presented itself

You'll need huge spacers (like 30mm) to make that look even half way decent. If the wheels are free, accept them, then turn around and sell them to a Honda driver. If he wants any money for those wheels, pass on the offer...

17x7 and +40 will not look very good. It'll basically be stock. If your brothers car is 4lug (4 holes) they will fit. I would personally keep the stock ones you have on and save for some decent fitting wheels. You won't have a problem with your wheel berrings or anything if they fit and you have a good alignment.

Btw, if you still can't decide, just test fit them. Who's knows you might like them. I doubt it though.
