There is no coolant leakage when the car parks(even after several nights). But some coolant leaks when leaving the parking place. The engine temperature is normal when driving on freeway. I went to gargage and got the conclusion that the waterbump leaks.

So now I will check the coolant level before my departure everytime. Will the small waterbump coolant leakage hurt the engine? or other parts? Thanks.

BTW, what's the normal tire pressure for J30t(The max pressure of my tire is 35 psi)? I didn't find it in my owner manual.

Thanks a lot.

Make sure that's what leaks; and then replace it. It'll just get worse and worse, if it goes long enough little metal particles start floating around, you've got a little time to get ready. Change the A-freeze and the thermostat as long as you're at it, look at the belts too.

It's a little bit like playing russian roulette, my brother had a car where the water pump was leaking, he drove it for many months watching the temperature gauge. One day he was on the highway, I guess the coolant corroded some metal and rubber part around where the water pump was attached. The whole thing basicaly gave out and my brother basically cooked his engine by the time he made it to the shoulder.

I would get it changed ASAP, the replacement engine cost in a J30 is very expensive new or used.

Besides you live in California where it is always warm, this will heighten the risk.

DriverX2 reminded me : The pump can also seize and fry the belt in just a few seconds, seen that too.

Just get the job done & drive with confidence. I've seen too many "small leaks" seizing engines. It just ain't worth it.
