Will The Stock Stereo Play MP3 CDs...???

I burned an MP3 CD on iTunes and tried to play it in the Versa and it didn't work. Is the OEM stereo unit capable of playing MP3 CDs? Is there a way around it? Thanks, all!

Does your headunit say MP3 on it? I burned 6 data CDs of my music and it plays them just fine. Randomizes all the disks and displays the song titles. If your headunit does say MP3 on it I wonder if it's not compatible with the iTunes format. Doesn't iTunes convert songs to MP4 or something like that?

Only the SL model has the stereo capable of that. I'm about to upgrade my factory deck very soon if you want a factory plug and play upgrade. Mine's the 6-disc mp3 cd changer.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll just stick to burning regular CDs and usually the auxiliary cable with my iPod. Would have been nice, but not worth the premium I'd pay.

Actually, I'm interested in the 6 CD head unit. Is it in mint condition? Are there shiny, permanent grease stains on the buttons where your fingers make contact? Happens w/ all black buttons and switchgears. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to stuff like switchgear and controls...

How much are you asking?

I use ICE Interior cleaner for the dash / radio and it shines it up and makes it look brand new again. You don't see any finger prints. I use it on every single car in our family and makes even the old cars look new again! You should check it out if your OCD about that stuff (as am I).

How much are you asking?

Well the car is two years old so I wouldn't say the deck is all that mint but it still plays CDs perfect (even scratched and smudged up discs). None of the paint is peeling off the buttons and there are "marks" but they are easily cleaned off. I clean my interior more often than some people might. I have the tan interior so dirt and buildup is easily seen. I've seen these decks go for over $200 on ebay so $120 shipped? I will pack it in a big box with plenty of protection around it so shipping alone will be $25-30. I can also post pics of it if you wanna see it. Just let me know.
