Will the newer 02-03 QX4 Bose Stereo work in the 2001 QX4?

Thanks for the help in advance!

My in dash BOSE cd changer in my 2001 QX4 is giving problems, buttons at times won't work and the displays goes in and out so I cant see anything. My thought was to just replace it with the same stock unit. I have seen some 2002-2003 units that are a bit less $ online so was wondering whether these have the same harness etc.

Anyone replaced the stock head unit with new stock unit? Need to know whether above will workThanks very much-

The dash is the same and I would venture to guess that the wiring is too. If you want to go diging throught the wiring diagrams to double check the FSM's are here: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM
