Will the 97 p/s pressure hose fit into 89 steering cloumn?

I mean where they are connected. Help cuz the car has a DE engine in 89 chassis.

Its to my understanding that you'd need a 91-93 series line. Could be wrong though.

Do I have to pull the engine out, to replace the power steering hose? or I could just do it underneath the car

You don't have to pull out the engine. Sometimes it's a PITA, but if you're lucky it won't be too bad. If the hardline gives you trouble, just get a can of PB Blaster and spray the crap out of it.

sorry to being know nothing, but what it means PITA and what is PB blaster?... this might be my first project to get my hands dirty

P.I.T.A.----Pain in the A**PB Blaster---like WD-40 but better, can get at place like autozone..... maybe even meijer or wal-mart not sure though

Yup, getr some pb blaster or the job will be really difficult, turn those hardlines around to the driverside and reconnect it all. Just don't forget which one gets the pressure line. Post about how it goes, I never could get my own to work for whatever reason.
