Quote »i think this is something that should definitely be researched. its very disappointing to see them all over ebay goin for under 150 and no one knows anything on the swap and its difficulties. Any comments from the moderators?[/quote] I just recently did a swap with a friend and the S15's complete rear end would not fit on the S13 without modifcations which were deemed to be unsafe and a hassle. So the diff was modified to fit on to the s13 and a special drive shaft had to be made. Most people won't use the S15's diff because they probably don't want to screw around with speedometer dramas that you will encounter even though you're going to experience them anyway because the speed sensor is on the diff and not on the transmission like S13/S14's. I actually did the wiring and helped put up the transmission and newly made driveshaft, but when the finsihed product was ready to roll to it's new owner, it had no speedometer function because he didn't have the S15's instrument cluster which another pain in the arse to wire up. Stay away from the S15's SR20DET. If you want that particular motor, get the S14's.
