Will s14 shocks work on s13?

One of my shock is dead. Can I use the oem shocks and springs on the s14? Thanks.

no, s14 shocks WILL NOT work on the s13. I found this out when i tried to put on s14 coilovers

EDIT: Could you specify which shock? I remember that the s14's front shocks would fit teh s13 front, but the rears are different

ARG... I wish I had know that because I would have gotten S14 coilovers for my S13. I have the 5lug conversion and now I am going to have to drill out my front mounting holes.

BTW. The lower shock mount on the S13 and S14 spindles are different. Not like the 300zx where it takes a fork type shock, but the stud that the ball slides over is tapered unlike the S13.

The S14 front lower bolt holes are also larger.

Thanks... I was going to use my friend's rear shocks off of a 95. Guess it's time for an upgrade.

Basically you can use S14 shocks with S14 spindles (front or rear, 4 or 5lug).

You can make S13 fronts work with S14 spindles, but only for the front.

The S14 rear shocks are longer than the S13 rear shocks.
