Will rear disk brakes from a 1999 G20 fit on the back of a 97 altima?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Just curious if anyone knows if rear disk brake setup from a 1999 G20 would convert on my 97 altima? I found one in a junk yard and I want to do the conversion. I'm sure they are the same car... any ideas? comments?

Is the altima a 4 lug or 5 lug?

All the same front rotors

I would assume the rears are the same as well, but can't confirm that.

the early altimas 93 - 2001 are 4 lug. I found out that the 2000 G20's won't work... do you think the older ones do though?

If they do I don't see the benefit, probably the same size. Why not get brakes for the altima from an altima in a junk yard or parts store?

no because most altimas have drum brakes in the back and I want to convert them to disk like the infiniti's have. Some altimas have it but only the SE's. Thats why i'm wondering.

THat makes sense. But then again, the brake bias is like 80-20, so other than looks, there probably still wont be much of a benefit.

Still not enough to matter whether they are drum or disc.
