will an rb26dett fit just as easy as an rb25det in my 89 240 or will it take extensive modifications.

It's the same block, I'm guessing it should fit the same.

lol. There not even remotly the same. RB26 is twin turbo, AWD, etc. IT WILL BE A PITA to work, and very expensive. Its better to stick with the RB25, and build it.

about the skyline being awd, i thought it was rwd, but the attesa-ets sent power to the front wheels only if there was a loss in traction to the rear wheels. so im going to go out on a limb and guess that rb26 would use a rwd driveshaft and everything? plz all u nissan experts correct me cuz im sure im wrong.

You need the RB26 engine, and RB25 transmission, then it will work, next contact Mack at Mckinney Motorsports about their new RB26 install kits, their kits will allow you to maintain the twins.
