I have a set of JDM exhaust mani's from my 1995 engine swap and was wondering if they fit the USDM Q's.

Sure, but since they do not have the pre-cats built in, you may not pass smog inspection{visual and/or measured}

would be really nice if someone wanted to do a 5 speed swap on their Q.. They would probably work perfect in clearing the z starter.

You'll pass smog still as what I remember somebody telling me.Pre-cats built right after the manifold don't do anything and in most cases they don't do a visual just check the engine to make sure it's the right one.Again maybe I'm on speaking for the area I live in or shop I go to.

No smog where I live, they just check for the main cat and even then they don't really check, just look to see if something resembles one under the car. I run cats, but not pre-cats. Just for EPA mandates, kinda like the old smog pumps on GM cars and AIV's on Nissans.

If you have a dyno requirement in smog test, the chances of failing are increased significantly expecially if you don't keep the main cats at operating temperature during idle test.

My birthday is in Jan so as you can imagine winter testing is the worst.
