will other year side markers fit '90?

hi. this is my first time posting. my question is regarding the side marker lights for my '90 240SX. i've been looking for the front clear side markers, but have only found them once on the internet for $100+. no way i'm paying this much! however the clear side markers for '91 and above models are easier to find and much less expensive. i know someone who bought some for a '92 240SX, off of ebay for like $20, and he says they're great.

So my question is... will these newer model lights fit my '90? will they plug right in and slide on like the originals? does anyone know or has tried this? or is there any other clear markers, like from a different make (i heard mercedez has one that is compatible) that will fit my car?
